在不经意间我也加入了上班族的行列。去年五月毕业就开始找工作，开始心不在焉地找，一个暑假就这么混过去了－工作没找到是也没有好好玩一下。后来到了八月 底才开始着急，美国经济直线下滑，我要是真成了无业游民怎么办，刚毕业就失业。还好功夫不负有心人，找了一个月就找到了个工作，虽说是个临时工，先累积经 验再说。十月初我就开始在Santa Clara的一个生物公司MedImmune上班了，是个小时工，上几个小时给几个小时钱，节假日不上班不给钱。 虽说是有个工作了，但心里还是没底儿，毕竟不是正式员工，说不要就可以不要我了。
  今年一月时有机会在认识人的介绍下去南旧金山的一家制药公司去面试（新工作是正式的，有福利，有保险）。面试还挺成功，二月份就开始上班了，现在已经上了五个星期，一切也都适应了。新公司叫“武田薬品工業株式会社”，是日本最大的制药公司，而且已经有两百多年的历史了 经济危机好像跟他们没什么关系，去年武田在南旧金山刚刚开了最新的分公司，主要是做抗体。我真算是幸运，在美国失业率上升时碰到了正在扩展的公司，一下子就找到了工作。
  我的实验室有九个人，一半是细胞组的一半是病理组的，我属于后者。我是最后一个加入这个实验室的，我的座位也是最后一个。我坐的地方有一面大窗户，从那里 有时还能看见大雁。因为公司很新，大阪总部派了一部分人来帮助把公司建起来，所以现在公司有四分之一都是日本人。我的实验室九个人里就有四个是日本人，他 们人都很好（但英语不够好）。天天见这么多日本人，每天说话，我决定不放过这个学日语的好机会，现在开始学日语！每天上班都很快乐，喜欢我的工作，我的同事。幸福喔！

I just had a weird dream this morning. I dreamed of cats, a lot of them. I felt a lot of cats around me. I was cuddling a cat or the cat was cuddling me (hm... must be a big cat then... a tiger?), I don't know. I just felt a lot of soft and comfortable hair touching my skin. It was a tickling sensation, but not uncomfortable. What a bizarre dream. I wonder was I doing cuddling with so many cats, big cats.

I was watching a French movie called "Le Papillon" (the Butterfly) today and the little girl asked the old man what is a nightmare. The old man explained that a nightmare is a dream gone bad, then he said, more to himself then to the girl, "just like children, they are a dream when born, then they grow up, and it's a nightmare." I just thought that it's an interesting thought.

Why don't I never have time to update my blog? I had so many interesting thoughts lately, be it happy or sad, mundane or epiphanic.
Here are a couple of things that happened to me since graduation:
1. I was very depressed for over a week over the bleakness of my future.
2. I watched a French musical that kindled my interest in French films and language. (I have listened to nothing but the soundtrack for the film since I watched it) I will watch many more French films and learn French someday in the future.
3. I finally started reading for leisure again. (I feel like I haven't done that in ages, feels like all I read in the last year were articles about art history.) It feels so good to read for fun again. I finally started reading books people gave me for my birthday a year and a half ago.
4. I, of course, continue to watch many movies like I usually do.
